Abstract¡¡¡¡PLA2(EC3.1.1.4) of Agkistrodon
blomhoffii Ussurensis of Changbai Mountain has been purified to homogeneity
via four steps consisting of DEAE-Sephadex A-50, and three times Sephadex G-75
column chromatography in series. Using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide
gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization, time of
flight mass spectrometry, the PLA2 was found to have a molecular
weight of (14.008¡À0.007) kD. The optimal pH of the PLA2 is in the
range from 8.0 to 9.0, the optimal temperature is 45 ¡æ. Polymer is found in
solution by MALDI/TOF/MS.
