Abstract PLA2(EC3.1.1.4) of Agkistrodon
blomhoffii Ussurensis
of Changbai Mountain has been purified to homogeneity
via four steps consisting of DEAE-Sephadex A-50, and three times Sephadex G-75
column chromatography in series. Using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide
gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization, time of
flight mass spectrometry, the PLA2 was found to have a molecular
weight of (14.008±0.007) kD. The optimal pH of the PLA2 is in the
range from 8.0 to 9.0, the optimal temperature is 45 ℃. Polymer is found in
solution by MALDI/TOF/MS.
