Abstract NFκB
activity analysis was performed with pNFκB-luc reporter plasmid.
Expression of NFκB in nuclear and expression of Igκin intact cells were
analyzed by Western Blot to identify whether Epstein-Barr virus encoded latent
membrane protein 1 (LMP1) increases the expression of immunoglobulin κ light
chain through NFκB signal transduction pathway in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Results showed that LMP1 could increase NFκB activity and promote the
accumulation of NFκB p65 in nucleus, and LMP1 also increased Igκexpression. In
addition, phosphorothioate oligonucleotides to antisense NFκB p65 and p50
inhibited the Igκexpression. These imply that LMP1 can regulate Igκexpression
via NFκB signal transduction pathway in nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Key Word EBV encoded LMP1; NFκB; Igκ; nasopharyngeal carcinoma
